Because The Mum spent the first year of her life eating garbage from a vegetarian flat (past-it tofu, burnt falafel and that gross slimy lettuce which you find at the back of the fridge), then got knocked up and had to share those morsels, she is now about half as big as she should be. This is sad, but also kind of neat because it means she'll always look like a kitten, and everyone likes kittens more than cats.
I started feeding her about 3 months ago, and although she hasn't grown much since then she has stopped being such a little bitch. I finally got her purring this morning which in my experience is the all-important breakthrough.
Which brings me to my main point. If you've been on the hunt for a pint-sized feline friend then look no further. The Mum is ready for adoption and could be yours today for the fee of zero, yes zero dollars! You could even just take her for a trial and if it doesn't work out then take her to the SPCA, which (cue violins) is where she'll end up anyway if no one adopts her.
The three kittens have all been adopted out with great success, now someone needs to make a space in their heart for The Mum. Could it be you?
[Disclaimer: If The Mum is pregnant, and god knows the little hussy might be, then I won't be paying kitten support. However, I have a feeling they would be half-siamese so you could probably cash in on that.]
