At the risk of sounding like a massive dork, there are few things I enjoy as much as getting my hands on a good hard drive.
Oh baby.
I'll show you mine if you show me yours. Just bring it over, plug it in, and we can swap media all night long.
I've got one sitting on my desk at the moment - I'm not entirely sure who it belongs to - but it's a veritable goldmine for a series hoarder like myself. Remember Freaks and Geeks? Its 10 years old and only lasted one season, but it spawned a whole lot of megastars and is pretty damn funny in its own right. If you want to reminisce about the most painfully awkward years of your life then come on over, bring your external.
I rarely watch the telly, instead I like to have my favourite shows available to view from bed. These are, without exception, all comedy. I have different go-to shows for various situations - Black Books when I can't sleep, Family Guy when I can't concentrate, and Glee when nobody's going to walk in on me.
I'm also a bit funny about who I watch what with. Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia I'll put on with nearly anyone because its a guaranteed crowd pleaser, meaning I don't need to sneak sideways glances to see if they're still awake and laughing in the right bits. Other shows I'm more precious about. Stella (again, cancelled after one season) is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, but I've been hurt too many times by people calling it 'random'. If I ever show you this, or Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (credit to Barnaby for giving me both of these), then you can take it as a compliment.
There are a million other shows worth blabbing about, but I realise 'telly wot I like' is not the most exciting topic for a blog. I actually just felt pressured to post something, anything today as I noticed my readership had doubled over the weekend. To my two followers: thank you for your continued loyalty; I promise to deliver something a bit more intellectual next time.
